I just wanted to let you know that I am 3/4 finished with your book and it's KILLING me ( in a good way. ) I can relate to it ( and have lived it ) in so many ways. Worked in music retail for 8 years - deejay - promotion for labels - interviews for local cable music show, etc. I know all about meet & greets and backstage passes and afterparties. Decline & Fall of Western Civilization: The Metal Years is a personal fave of mine. I used to go visit my old metal boyfriends that moved to Hollywood in the early 90's ( that used to go to Berklee School of Music in Boston, the "metal" place to go in the East, where I lived ) and we'd go out to Smalls, Boardners, The Gas Light, The Coconut Teazer, etc....and your Kelsey Grammar story nearly made me piss myself because I got hit on at Smalls by actor Steven Weber ( Wings, Jeffrey ) - Anyway....your book is totally making me laugh. I'm a friend of Baldomom's, btw, and I see you post on her LJ a lot ( I'm Zero_Madre/ Jill )
Anyway, it's a great book. I'm enjoying it ALOT!!
